Is it strange that I'm 34 and never been to a gynecologist?

The reason I've never been is because I've never been very sexually active and actually dislike sex. So I guess the thought of someone probing down there makes me standoffish. I have, however, been tested for STDs by my general doctor and do not have anything. I don't want kids and don't plan on having sex anymore because of the discomfort. So is it strange that I've never been? Are there others out there who feel the same way? Is there a real serious reason why I should go?
