Tips to avoid depression?

I have a similar situation as you. I don't want to be on meds or counselling either. Believe it or not exercise has helped me regain control and also prevent depression from coming back. It balanced the receptors in my brain through the endorphin releases. Try and see if you can do 30 mins of ur fav cardio activity 3-5 times a week. It worked for me. :) there's hope. Never stop hoping. Ull get through this.
