I'm visiting my Gynecologist next week and what do I expect?

So yes i'm visiting her (who is is also my sister's) because with every period I get i've been having severe cramps and my mom wants to put me on a hormone pill or something. I'm still a virgin but my hymen is broken, I play many sports and were tampons. What will she have me do? what normally goes down?
