Shouldn't US help Pakistan more now?

US should give more financial aid, technology and personnel to Pakistan, now that Pakistan is not able to defend it own military bases given the recent attacks on it naval base. If the Pakistani nuclear materials have to be safeguarded, then US has to play a more decisive and participatory role. Otherwise, nuclear proliferation that US has been leading will be in vain and nuclear arms in the hands of extremists will be danger and a source of instability in the region.
