My periods just stopped! why?

i started getting them when i was 10, now 12 (13 on july 4th!) back in november, i got my last one ever. it ended as normal, and i never got one since! i'm not pregnant or anything. they've always been normal and i'm not that stressed. please don't say tell my mom or go to a gynecologist! what could be wrong? thanks
