How long can a stubborn yeast infection last with out treatment?

I am 18, I have never had sex, and I have been experiencing what I believe to be a persistent yeast infection (5 months). I have yet to visit an OB/GYN for reasons that are to detailed to explain on Yahoo but my symptoms are, constant itching, swelling, skin sensitivity, semi-thick white vaginal discharge and more recently, a clear almost yellow liquid coming from the swollen skin. I am worried that I have waited to long to see the gynecologist and the infection has become a lot more serious. What is your advise, or what do you think I should do?
